When I was little I made a homemade doormat with a piece of wood and a bunch of bottle caps that my parents had collected for recycling. (We lived in the country so that’s what I did for fun). I took each bottle cap and “hammered” it into the wood with my toy hammer. After watching me struggle a bit, my dad offered me his hammer. What a difference it made!
