Jeremiah Was A Bullfrog

“If it’s your job to eat a frog, it’s best to do it first thing in the morning. And if it’s your job to eat two frogs, it’s best to eat the biggest one first.” -Mark Twain

I love this quote by Mark Twain! The frog is that thing on your to-do list that you have no motivation to do. It’s that thing that’s probably been on your to-do list for a while now and you’ve been procrastinating. If you do this undesirable task first thing in the morning you get a wonderful sense of accomplishment and maybe a sense of momentum to carry you through the day.

If you’re like many business owners I know…that frog is your bookkeeping. You are busy making sure employees are scheduled, clients are happy, shipments are off, vendor payments are made…and one hundred other things. Making sure that your income and expenses are logged is probably last on your list and pressure and stress build until tax time comes!

This is a great time of year to eat that big frog and get caught up! Stress can be lifted off your shoulders. We can work together and get your bank and credit card accounts caught up and reconciled. We can make sure sales tax and payroll liabilities are up-to-date and recorded. We can also have vendors set up and ready for 1099-MISC time. We can run some fun reports so you know where you stand with revenue and expenses.

Remember, bookkeeping doesn’t have to be difficult!

Sincerely,

Jordan Ilderton, CPA
