How do you show up in your business? Are you the owner or the CEO?
By now we’ve all heard the 4 D’s of time management:
I’ll be honest- delegating is the toughest one for me! My business is my baby (in addition to my 3 actual babies and one fur baby).
But my business IS me. That’s where I’ve had to step back and take the ME out of my business.
What does that look like?
It looks like asking, “What would I do if I were the CEO?”
Right- not me as the business owner but me as the CEO. My actions look totally different if I think about it from that perspective!
This January is our busy season and for me to get every single signed W9 form, every single approval from the business owner, and submit every single form would put a lot on my already full plate.
Then for fun…let’s throw in a COVID spike and the uncertainty that my 3 kids may or may not be at school.
So I delegated and it’s been amazing! We did LOTS of planning and my team was very patient with all of my Loom training videos and spreadsheets. 🙂 They also get to pick up extra work as a little bonus to start the year as well as new skills.
Have you recently asked yourself, “What would I do if I were the CEO?” See what comes up for you! It’s actually kind of fun!
Decisions in the business don’t feel so heavy, like 1,000 pounds, resting on your shoulders.
Do you need help showing up as the CEO?
Maybe you don’t even know how to do that or what information you need to make decisions.
